What we often recall of a space is its feeling or sense of "atmosphere", not its formal details.

Unlike other Architectural materials, light is unique, in the sense that it cannot be touched, felt, or measured in a meaningful way... yet we know that it has a profound impact on us as humans. Without light, our tactile world would be meaningless. Contrary to this notion, without the existence of the physical world (architecture), Light could never manifest itself to humans.

The optical phenomena of dappled, reflected, refracted, filtered and diffused, natural and artificial light envelops us every single day.
